Langborg scored 12 of Northwestern’s first 14 points of overtime, as the Wildcats beat Florida Atlantic, 77-65. He finished with 27 points, a school record for March Madness.
The only way Florida Atlantic could stop Langborg was to stop him from getting the ball at all. He made his final nine shots of the game, not missing in the last 18 minutes of the game.
Even when his teammates almost threw the ball away, Langborg was unstoppable.

IT'S ALL WILDCATS IN OT #MarchMadness @NUMensBball pic.twitter.com/Z0Gm3GOFtp
It’s the third straight March Madness game where Langborg has scored more than 20 points. Last year he put up 22 points in the second round and 26 in the Sweet 16 as part of No. 15 seed Princeton’s improbable run. He transferred to Northwestern in the offseason, and kept his March scoring going.
Of course, Langborg’s heroics wouldn’t have been possible without Barnhizer tying things up with an athletic layup. And with FAU taking a very leisurely approach to a possible game-winning shot at the buzzer.

They’re likely to face number one overall seed UConn in round two, but one Wildcat at least won’t be intimidated.
