New Orleans Pelicans Reportedly Sign New Center

On Friday, Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress of reported that Jemison will sign an Exhibit 10 deal with the New Orleans Pelicans (h/t HoopsRumors). 

Via Chepkevich : "Trey Jemison has agreed to an Exhibit-10 contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, I’m told. 

The rookie big man will have the opportunity to go into training camp and compete for one of their two open two-way contract slots."

Since it's an Exhibit 10 deal, Jemison will likely go to their G League team (if he does not make the roster). 

In addition to his three seasons at UAB, he also played two college basketball seasons for Clemson. 

His career averages in college were 5.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 56.7% from the field in 152 games. 

As for the Pelicans, they are coming off a year where they were the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 46-36 record. 

However, they missed the NBA playoffs because they lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in their first play-in tournament game. 

That said, they have a talented roster and will likely be a contender to make the postseason in 2024.
